Many men may not be getting the best advice when it comes to managing low-risk prostate cancer, two new studies suggest. In the first study, researchers found that most men are getting their prostate removed or undergoing radiation therapy when carefully watching the cancer may be just as effective without the risks and side effects of surgery or radiation. Chemo-ADT Combo Ups Survival in Patients with Metastatic PCa

Starting chemotherapy along with androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) in patients newly diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer (mPCa) improved median overall survival by more than 13 months, according to a study presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology annual meeting in Chicago.
