The Father’s Day Walk/Run is Back!
For years, we participated in Prostate Cancer Canada’s annual Do It For Dads Father’s Day Walk/Run, where we got half of what we raised to cover our costs of printing, meetings, etc. With the merger of PCC with the Canadian Cancer Society in February of 2020 and the Covid-19 pandemic, this event was cancelled in 2020. For 2021, a virtual Father’s Day Walk/Run is occurring on Sunday, June 20, 2021. It is being organized by Prostate Cancer Foundation BC, and the same revenue splitting arrangement is in effect. Half of what our team raises comes back to us to support our programs, and the other half will be used for prostate cancer support throughout Canada, especially in more remote areas away from the major cities.
To support us, go to https://www.thefathersdayrun.ca/ and scroll down to ‘Donate to a Participant’. You can enter a team member or the team name, PCSToronto, and select a member, like our captain. Fill in the form and submit it. You will receive an e-tax-receipt almost immediately.
While you can donate to us directly, PCSToronto is a non-profit organization, but we are NOT a registered charity and therefore cannot issue tax receipts.
