The Father’s Day Walk Run 2025
For years, we participated in Prostate Cancer Canada’s annual Do It For Dads Father’s Day Walk/Run, where we got half of what we raised to cover our costs of printing, meetings, etc. Post Covid and since 2021, a virtual Father’s Day Walk/Run has occurred on Father’s Day. It is organized by Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada, and a revenue splitting arrangement is in effect. Half of what our team raises comes back to us to support our programs, and the other half will be used for prostate cancer support throughout Canada, especially in more remote areas away from the major cities.
To support us, click here. On the right side under ‘Sponsor a Team Member’, select a team member’s name or select our team name ‘PCS Toronto’ to make a general donation. Click on the orange ‘Sponsor Us’ button and fill in the form and submit it. You will receive an e-tax-receipt almost immediately. (You can also select ‘Join PCS Toronto’ and raise funds from friends, etc. for us.) For 2025, the event will be on June 15th. A casual walk is being organized for Ashbridges Bay. Show up in the boat launch parking lot (free until noon) before 10:00 for tailgating (coffee, muffins,…). Then walk the boardwalk. Watch the weather forecast and check this site before showing up.
While you can donate to us directly, PCSToronto is a non-profit organization, but we are NOT a registered charity at this time and therefore cannot issue tax receipts.
