Prostate Cancer Canada (PCC) and the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) have agreed to amalgamate. See the announcement here. (https://www.prostatecancer.ca/In-The-News/Foundation-News-Releases/Prostate-Cancer-Canada-and-the-Canadian-Cancer-Soc)

It is important to note that PCCN-Toronto will continue to provide support, as we have for over 26 years (before PCC was formed) to prostate cancer patients, their families, caregivers and friends. That means that Peer Support Meetings, Awareness Nights, hospital/clinic visits, phone/email support, etc. will carry on as before.

At this time, it is not clear where our group will fit within CCS. PCCN is an umbrella organization of support groups across the country, which our group, formerly known as Toronto Man to Man joined in 2010. There is no similar structure in CCS. PCC has supplied us with certain benefits, including national branding, literature, insurance coverage, a clear focus on PSA testing, and funding through the Do It For Dads Walk/Run. We are working with PCC to find our place in the new new organization, but expect it will take some time to resolve. In the meantime, we will continue as we always have.
